Welcome to another fantastic day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. The spooky season is quickly approaching, so let’s take a look at what’s happening over at Universal Studios Florida first.
The Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store facade is now under construction. The creepy exterior is not yet complete, but we cannot wait to see it when it’s ready.
More scare zone prep is happening around the park. There are several stages and props in Hollywood and Central Park. Houses, scare zones, and shows have been announced, and you can see the full lineup for the event here.
Another quiet day here in the parks. It was busier today than yesterday, but the crowds weren’t bad.
Only a 15 minute wait for Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts this afternoon.
This family of ducks has discovered where the popcorn comes from.
We’ve seen some wild things here at Universal Orlando, but this skateboarding kid is a first. At least the crowds are chill enough that he can coast around Hollywood without any problems.
There goes a legend.
The globe has been stationary lately, providing a convenient photo opportunity. We noticed guests this afternoon were lining up to take a photo in front of the globe.
If you can still find any of the Olympics merchandise, it is now 50% off.
We spotted another new Back to the Future shirt in the Hub. This one is $25.
As we entered Islands of Adventure, we came across some new characters in Port of Entry. They were interacting with guests as they passed by, and we enjoyed chatting with them as we made our way into the park.
The Lost Continent doesn’t quite feel the same now that Poseidon’s Fury is behind construction walls. After being closed for a year, we can only imagine the maintenance necessary. At this time, it is unclear whether this is a refurbishment or a retheme, but we will bring you all the latest updates as more information becomes available.
In better news, the Jurassic Park Discovery Center is getting ready to reopen the nursery. Team Members were training in the area, and we’re hearing we could be seeing some of the dinosaur eggs hatching this weekend. Life finds a way.
A new Mr. DNA shirt was spotted inside Jurassic Outfitters for $35.
It felt busier at Islands of Adventure, but still nothing like the summer crowds.
Only a 45 minute wait for VelociCoaster this afternoon.
More Jurassic Park shirts from The Hundreds are available in Jurassic Outfitters and the Universal Studios Store in CityWalk. The tie dye shirt is $45, and the cartoon dinosaur shirt is $40.
The plunger has returned to the detonator for the Hush-A-Bomb in Toon Lagoon.
This cute new pizza plush is a prize for one of the skill games in Toon Lagoon. Who doesn’t love pizza?
Thanks for joining us around the parks today. We’ll be back again soon, so make sure you keep following Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates.
