It looks like the entrance of the Magic Kingdom will be all it should be when October 1st rolls around. The train station at the front of Main Street U.S.A. is finally nearing completion of the refurbishment project it has been undergoing for the last year. The scrim started to come down in earnest a few weeks ago, but now is mostly removed.

The Walt Disney World Railroad has been closed for over two-and-a-half years due to the construction of TRON Lightcycle / Run. Prior to the park’s March closure, a train was on exhibition at the Main Street U.S.A. station and later the Fantasyland station.

Are you hoping to ride a train around Magic Kingdom again soon? Let us know in the comments.

  1. So Disney thiks its better to simultaneously work on 7 thousand projects and as a result have the train and the new Tron ride under construction for the 50th. great job Chapek.

  2. I know Chapek doesn’t care, but will be disappointing to see the 50th happen, and an original attraction like the WDWRR won’t be running when it’s been down over two, almost 3 years. Less for More should be the new company motto!

  3. I wish they would announce a date for the return of the trains. It has been so long since we have been able to ride around the World.
