Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a Victorian-style hotel based on a historic New York resort. The city of Saratoga Springs is well-known for horse racing. We stayed one night in a Three Bedroom Grand Villa. The Villa sleeps twelve and has two floors. The resort is still undergoing remodeling, but this suite has been updated already.
The door leads into a small entryway with stairs to the upper level and a nice decorative mirror.
From there, you can access the primary bedroom and bathroom.
The primary bathroom is nice, with a large single-basin vanity and lots of storage.
The vanity has two drawers, one of which contained the hairdryer. Facial soap and body lotion are provided.
A large illuminated mirror hangs above the sink, with a smaller cosmetic mirror mounted on the wall beside it.
There is a lot of floor space here, some of which we think would have been better allocated to the shower.
The toilet is tucked into the corner and sadly without any art. If you’ve seen other room tours from us, you know we like to see artwork in the bathroom to liven up the space.
This bathroom has a separate shower and tub. The shower is big enough, but certainly not the nicest we’ve seen at a Disney resort. It has futuristic-style tile, which looks nice but doesn’t fit well with the theme.
There are mounted amenities, two showerheads — one mounted and one handheld — but no shaving ledge.
The tub is beautiful and a decent size, but it lacks jets.
A small closet is between the bathroom and bedroom, with a safe.
The primary bedroom has one King bed.
Two standard outlets and two USB ports are available on either side of the dresser.
We were delighted to see this art display above the headboard, featuring scenes from Saratoga Springs, New York, with Mickey and Friends. Though the photos are likely mounted to the wall, the hanging display is a nice detail.
This photo of Donald Duck presenting Daisy with a flower is very cute.
On the left, Mickey and Minnie are jockeys in a horse race. To the right, Pluto plays in the springs.
The statue declaring “Welcome to Saratoga Springs” is pictured here.
In this photo, Goofy relaxes while fishing.
The fixtures are largely the same as other suites at the resort, including these tree branch lamps, which have two more standard and USB outlets.
A comfortable chair with an ottoman sits by the window.
The dresser is very large, with both drawers and shelving inside.
This mirror doesn’t scream “Saratoga Springs” to us, but not much does here.
There is room for luggage under the bed. Most of the newer Disney rooms have tons of storage; they clearly gave a lot of thought into functionality for the remodel, which is great.
Back off the entry, we enter the living room.
We love this fantastic atrium space. It gives the Villa a nice, open feeling that standard rooms just can’t offer.
Our Villa looked out at the pretty springs. We found the view very relaxing.
The unit beneath the flat screen Samsung television contains shelving for additional storage. The art on the cabinet doors features trees reflecting on the springs.
We love this little table. It is on wheels if you need to move it to open the bed.
Not only does this table have more storage space, but the top also raises to create a surface for those seated on the sofa. We found it to be the perfect height for dining.
A statue of Mickey in golf gear sits on the shelves.
The end table has a phone for your convenience.
More standard outlets and USB ports are found here, but the vase is not removable, so you have to fit your devices around it.
An Old Moe (as seen in the 1948 short “They’re Off”) trophy with Mickey embellishments is also found on the shelves. Little details like this are what really make Disney resorts special.
The bed pulls down very easily. Above the headboard is some very nice artwork of a Saratoga-style home, with Mickey and friends relaxing outdoors.
The door to the left is a locked maintenance room, but to the right is another closet.
This spacious closet has extra bedding, an ironing board and iron, and a vacuum. It’s really a very roomy closet with plenty of floor space and room to hang items.
The kitchen is just through an arch in the living room.
It has Whirlpool appliances, other than the four-slice toaster, which is Cuisinart. Cutlery, utensils, pots and pans, and a wide variety of dishes are provided.
Garbage and recycling containers are in the cabinet under the sink.
Our Villa had a Mr. Coffee machine but Keurig pods. We suspect a Keurig is supposed to be here, as the Mr. Coffee had no way to use the pods.
The light switches for the dining room are on the end of the cabinet on the white paneling. They blend in very well, and we had a hard time locating them.
A table in the dine-in kitchen has seating for eight, with two extra chairs in the corners.
Under the mirror, there is a small console table with one drawer.
We love the equestrian-style chandelier.
The door to the balcony is beside the table.
We were treated to more gorgeous views. The balcony has two chairs and an end table under an awning. It was very quiet; it would make a very peaceful place for a morning cup of coffee.
The custom patio chairs feature the Saratoga Springs Resort logo with horses.
Our view of the springs had a nice water feature.
The balcony also faced a cute courtyard.
An additional bathroom is located off the kitchen.
It had nice size vanity with themed sconces and a mirror. Towels were located in the cabinet.
This is the only bathroom in the Villa without a bathtub.
The shower is larger than the one in the primary bathroom.
Next, we headed upstairs to check out the other two bedrooms.
A small sitting area at the top of the stairs has a chaise lounge and end table.
We spotted cute Mickey details on the wall.
The small closet has shelves and another vacuum. The other closets here are locked utility cabinets.
The drawers are deep and offer extra storage.
The tub/shower combination is standard but nicely decorated.
The closet in this bathroom is large and deep.
The first upstairs bedroom has two queen beds.
Horse racing themed art, including a Mickey jockey helmet, is displayed on the wall.
More outlets and USB ports are on the base of the lamp.
Additional outlets and ports are on the right side of the dresser only. We love this dresser; it fits thematically and has ample storage.
Each bedroom is outfitted with a flat screen Samsung television.
The closet on the other side of the staircase has the washer and dryer unit.
In addition to the Whirlpool stacked washer and dryer combination, there is a collapsible laundry basket.
The other bathroom has a slightly different layout as it has a small alcove with an end table.
The same standard shower and bathtub are found here.
The vanity setup is also the same, with a spacious closet beside it.
The other bedroom upstairs also has two queen beds and headboards that fit the theming much better.
Disappointingly, this bedroom has the same artwork. This used to be something Disney never did, and it’s made more unusual because the furniture in this room is all different. Other artwork would have worked better in this bedroom.
Overall, the three-bedroom Grand Villa was very pleasant and comfortable. It’s definitely less themed than other resort suites, but it offers a very spacious and functional layout for large groups. It was quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. We would stay here again, and we would recommend it.
