REVIEW: A Trio of Frightfully Good Macarons Arrive at the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida

Treats of all shapes and sizes have been found at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store, and now some of the smaller treasures have arrived as well. Let’s take a look at some scary good macarons.

Pumpkin Macaron – $5.00

If you are a big fan of pumpkin, get ready to “Fall” in love with this tasty macaron!

These were brought out on a tray fresh and they were delicious. The outside was crisp and crumbly, yet soft, like a perfect macaron should be. The filling was like a festival of fall, with heavenly rich pumpkin spice flavor! This one should definitely be tasted.

Frankenstein’s Monster Macaron – $5.00

While we are not a huge fan of mint flavoring, this was perfectly executed.

It had a chocolate mint ice cream flavor with a smooth and runny filling that was a nice change of pace from the other two macarons. The outside was chewier than the others, making it stand out even more.

Mummy Macaron – $5.00

The Mummy Macaron is a snickerdoodle-flavored macaron with superb tastes of cinnamon and sugar. We were really surprised at how flavorful this is!

It was a very crumbly macaron, but was still tasty. While not our favorite of the trio, it was a very solid snack and we could see this flavor profile making a return at Christmas time.

For our favorite, it was a tie between the Pumpkin and the Frankenstein Macarons. Although, Frank might just “eek” out a win based on the super-cute face decorations. All three of these are worth trying!
