Three Walt Disney World Cast Members Among Those Arrested in Child Predator Sting

Three Walt Disney World Cast Members and fourteen others have been arrested in a six-day undercover child predator sting by Central Florida authorities.

Undercover officers posed as children online as part of Operation Child Protector. All those arrested showed up to the undercover location intending to engage in sexual activity with the children they thought they had spoken to online. Sixteen of the suspects are from the Central Florida area, while one was a visitor from Los Angeles.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told reporters, “These are nasty, nasty people. We can’t even use the words that they used. We obviously can’t show the pictures and video clips that they sent to what they thought were 13-year-old little girls and little boys.”

The Cast Members arrested included couple Savannah Lawrence, 29, and Jonathan McGrew, 34, of Kissimmee, who worked as custodians at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Lawrence and McGrew sought to engage in a threesome with who they believed was a thirteen-year-old girl and roleplay as step-parents and stepdaughter in a shoplifting situation.

The other Cast Member was 26-year-old Kenneth Javier Aquino, a lifeguard at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. According to Sheriff Judd, he left his girlfriend who is seven months pregnant to have sex with a child. He arrived at the undercover location in his work uniform.

Among those arrested was also a registered nurse. In total, the seventeen face 49 felonies and two misdemeanors. Nine of them had criminal records.

  1. Here is what the news said about one of these “cast members” (who even looks like a criminal based on Disney’s lack of grooming standards: His criminal history includes previous arrests for possession of marijuana, possession of a concealed weapon, and failure to appear.

What happened to background checks? Oh, those must have been discontinued as part of the “inclusivity for all” initiative under Chapek and DAmaro. Absolutely sick.

  2. “nine of them had criminal records…” I’d like to know what their history is because aren’t employers doing background checks before employment, especially jobs involving being around children and teens every day. Also, I think the managers of these people need to be looked into as well and whether they noticed odd behavior and didn’t report it. Big thank you to the police for their hard work! I know it’s a hard job my best mate was undercover for this kind of stuff too and it takes a toll.
