So far, six friends of Duffy have been introduced over the past 15 years — Duffy the Disney Bear, ShellieMay, Gelatoni, StellaLou, CookieAnn, and ‘OluMel. And this fall, the adorable plush troupe gains a seventh friend in LinaBell the fox!
Starting September 29th, LinaBell will make her global debut at Shanghai Disneyland Park, the first Duffy friend to debut at the Mainland China resort. Following a one year exclusivity period, she will come to Tokyo DisneySea and Hong Kong Disneyland in Autumn 2022.
LinaBell is a curious and inquisitive fox with a fluffy tail and an orchid adorning one of her pointed ears. Equipped with her signature magnifying glass, she enjoys the thrill of solving problems and mysteries. LinaBell also loves nature and spending time with Duffy and his friends in the forest. Her wit, savvy, and fun-loving attitude are sure to make her a favorite of both guests and Duffy and Friends fans alike!
The backstory goes that while chasing butterflies with his dear friend Mickey Mouse, Duffy got separated and lost his way. LinaBell discovered Duffy alone in the forest and offered to help him find his way back. After reuniting the two, LinaBell was gifted with an orchid — a token of Duffy’s gratitude for his new friend.
LinaBell arrives September 29th at Shanghai Disneyland, and in autumn 2022 at Tokyo Disney Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland, and we can surely expect plenty of adorable merchandise and food to accompany her introductions! Are you excited to meet LinaBell? Let us know in the comments below!
