We had a busy day at both parks, stretching into the evening to see the new Hub light posts illuminated at night. So join us for a quick jaunt around both parks in this photo report.
Some big news hit right as we came through security — the new contactless security scanners were put in place at the entrance to Downtown Disney. You can read all about it here.
Disneyland
More Halloween decorations were added since last we checked, and now these cute Mickey pumpkin decorations are up on the light posts as far as Town Square.
More and more pumpkins are being added all the time to the upper levels of Main Street, U.S.A., for their Pumpkin Festival.
Starbucks has a new addition to their “Been There” series in this tote we found in Market House.
The much sought-after Mickey balloon popcorn bucket from Loungefly debuted today. The popcorn-scented collection includes this cute bag, a pair of Crocs…
… and these Minnie ears which we found at World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District.
More construction walls have gone up near the entrance to Toontown. Access to the Fantasyland Theatre is blocked off, but one small pathway skirts the edge of the walls and allows guests access to the Toontown Station of the Disneyland Railroad.
It appears Stromboli has moved on to offer his puppet show elsewhere, as his cart is gone from Fantasyland. Stromboli’s Wagon used to be a souvenir stand right here outside what was once Pinocchio’s Village Haus, now Red Rose Taverne.
The location has now become a seating area.
Down in New Orleans Square, Jack the Pumpkin King has been stood up on the lawn before The Haunted Mansion as they prepare for their holiday takeover.
French Market is getting in the spirit of the season as well, with decorations outside (as seen above) and in (as seen below).
There’s also some new Jack Skellington apparel available, like this sweatshirt and the ears seen in the background.
Also new to Disneyland is this Haunted Mansion purse, perfect for that edgy Disney vibe.
The Bootstrappers have returned from sailing the seas and can now be found at Disneyland once again. You can catch their full show on our YouTube channel.
The new Monorail sign paint job was unveiled today when the scaffolding and scrim came down. The muted blue color of the past has now been overtaken by this vibrant purple that adorns the whole station.
This font still makes it look like “Munurail,” though.
Any newly-minted Magic Key holders who want to show their pride by way of phone case can get their new affiliation imprinted and customized on a selection of phone cases from maDe kiosks at Star Trader in Tomorrowland.
One of the coolest new additions to the park may be these new light fixtures in the Hub. These light posts surround the Partners statue and feature Tinker Bell lighting them up.
A clear star on the top of the post may yet light up for show effects in the future. In the meanwhile, we just had to see these lit up as soon as dusk set in.
What a view. This photo op never gets old.
We stopped at World of Disney as we made our way between parks and found this 2022 calendar. Never too early to be prepared.

In Hollywood Pictures Backlot, the Disney Theater has had its marquee replaced as well. Disney Junior will still have a home here at the theater, but the marquee has been reverted to a generic one, likely to remove confusion.
In Grizzly Peak Airfield, the billboard is uncovered once again after a few days behind scrim. The colors are looking as vibrant as ever.
The bear from Grizzly River Run is ready for some Trick-or-Treating with his Mickey pumpkin treat bucket. Someone had better call Dr. Pym to enlarge one of those Choco Smash candy bars for the bear.
And in Cars Land, Radiator Springs is gearing up for Haul-o-Ween with decorations all over the place. As spooky as these decorations are in the daytime, we just had to stop by after dark to see their eerie glows come to life.
We just can’t wait for Halloween season to kick off in earnest this weekend. Thanks for joining us. We’ll see ya real soon!
