We’re counting down the days to Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, and the celebration has even reached that classic souvenir, the pressed penny.
We spotted the first 50th anniversary penny in a machine at Port of Entry in EPCOT, starring the Genie from “Aladdin.”
Right now, there’s only one 50th anniversary penny in this press, with the usual Mickey Mouse EPCOT designs still available.
The Genie appears on a starry background, next to the 50th anniversary logo.
Over at The Seas with Nemo and Friends, a quartet of pennies are available.
Featured here are Nemo and Dory, a stylized Nemo, as well as Sebastian and Flounder.
Meanwhile, a penny with Jiminy Cricket on it can be found at Disney Traders.
The pressed penny machine in the Fjording of the Norway Pavilion has a 50th anniversary coin featuring Bruni from “Frozen 2.”
The individual penny costs $1.00, making it an inexpensive item from an expansive line of merchandise offerings… unless you decide to collect the whole series.

Epcot has these 7 plus Figment at the International Gateway.
The majority of the rest are in MK.
DHS has 5 (4 behind Hollywood Junction, and Lumiere by Indiana Jones), and there are a handful in Animal Kingdom, and of course Disney Springs (mostly at Pin Traders in the marketplace).
The rest of the 50 are:
– 2 in the Boardwalk lobby
– 2 at Pop Century
– Chip and Dale at the Outpost in the middle of the campground
– 2 in the Riverfront lobby.
50 total, but they include Genie and Jiminy, Baby Groot and Rocket have not been released.
Happy hunting!
