PHOTOS: Repainting Begins on Frontierland Railroad Station in Magic Kingdom

Yesterday, we noticed that the Frontierland railroad station in Magic Kingdom had been refreshed with staining on the front of the building. Now painting has begun, bringing the station from a dull brown to a bright red color.

Only the largest and frontmost section has been painted so far.

The red is a stark contrast to the stained and faded sections around it.

We expect the recently stained walls (which are currently an orange-ish color) to be painted next.

The smaller walls and sides of the building will likely then be stained and painted.

This is one of many refurbishments ongoing at Magic Kingdom ahead of its 50th anniversary on October 1. Unfortunately however, the Walt Disney World Railroad won’t be running any time soon due to construction of TRON Lightcycle / Run.
