The demolition of Primeval Whirl at Disney’s Animal Kingdom began yesterday, more than a year after the official announcement that the attraction was permanently closed. Today, even more of the ride has already been dismantled. We noticed a section of coaster track removed on our visit today.
A section of roller coaster track on the north (to the left of the attraction’s entrance) and the large Primeval Whirl sign atop it have now been removed from the attraction.
The support structure for the track is still in place.
For comparison, the photos below, taken yesterday, show the same area. The Primeval Whirl sign and track section are shown intact.

I thought the ride was fun. It was like California Adventures’ Mulholland Drive. The rest of my family hated it, so I only got to ride it once.
After riding Ragin Cajun at Six Flags Great America I had no inclination to ride Primeval Hurl
