Café Orleans in Disneyland is celebrating Halloween with a new chocolate-praline mousse cake themed to Dr. Facilier from “The Princess and the Frog.”

Decadent praline mousse, dark chocolate brownie, vanilla creme anglaise, and ganache
The presentation is fantastic. The cake is shaped as Dr. Facilier’s iconic hat made of velvety, rich dark chocolate. The red band is Twizzler’s licorice, and the brim is a chocolate-covered lemon cookie that added a welcome lightness. The mousse cake was light, and the praline adds a nice crunch to the texture profile. It comes with a creme Anglaise that wasn’t really needed, but if you prefer to add some cream to lighten it up, it’s a nice touch.
We wouldn’t go out of our way to have this again, but if we were dining at Cafe Orleans, it’s a great end to your meal.
