You won’t be hungry this Halloween after a trip to Hungry Bear in Disneyland. This Critter Country counter-service restaurant is full of themed snacks, including the returning pumpkin cheesecake funnel cake and loaded french fries.

Honey Cream Cold Brew – $4.99
Cold brew coffee and honey-flavored cream poured over ice

We liked this cold brew better than the Candy Apple Cold Brew from Red Rose Taverne, but we still didn’t love this. It’s a little too sweet for how we prefer our coffee. You can definitely taste the honey, though, which is the perfect addition to this sweet treat.
Loaded Onion Rings – $5.99
Onion rings topped with a creamy cheese sauce, crispy bacon, and green onions

This dish was fantastic. The onion rings are well cooked and perfectly crispy but not overbattered. The heavy seasoning was balanced by the creamy cheese sauce and bacon bits. None of it is overpowering, and the ratio is spot on. We highly recommend this savory snack.
Loaded French Fries – $5.99
French fries topped with a creamy cheese sauce, crispy bacon, and green onions

The fries were as good as the onion rings, though they could have been crispier. You can’t go wrong with either choice, so pick your preference and enjoy.
The loaded french fries and onion rings are both supposed to have the option to upgrade to a souvenir Zero bowl, but unfortunately, it had not arrived yet when we visited.
Pumpkin Cheesecake Funnel Cake – $8.99
Pumpkin cheesecake filling and vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream

We love the Mickey-shaped toppings! However, our love stops there. We would have preferred a well-done, simple funnel cake, or even a well-done pumpkin spice cheesecake. This was just trying to be too many things at once.
For the price, this is a huge dessert that many could split. Unfortunately, the pumpkin spice cheesecake “sauce” was weird. It didn’t taste like pumpkin spice or cheesecake and left a bitter taste after the strange texture. We recommend trying the Chocolate-hazelnut flavor from Stage Door Cafe if you’re after funnel cake or the Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake from Jolly Holiday Bakery Café.
