REVIEW: Red Rose Taverne Serves Up A Trick and A Treat For Halloween At Disneyland

The Halloween treat adventure continues in Disneyland at Red Rose Taverne, where you can find two hauntingly good-looking treats — The Grave Stuff and Candy Apple Cold Brew.

You can also find the Bat Cookie here as a seasonal offering, which can be found in our review of Halloween goodies at Jolly Holiday.

The Grave Stuff – $6.49

Traditional Grey Stuff with Tombstone Cookie and Halloween Sprinkles

This offering is the traditional Grey Stuff but with a rather spooky overlay and a fun play on words.

A lemon shortbread tombstone “Dig In” cookie sits on top of the cookies ‘n’ cream filling, with a generous helping of Halloween and cookie crumb sprinkles on top of a chocolate cookie base.

We enjoyed this treat; the center had a red velvet cake filling with a fresh raspberry on top.

We enjoyed this Halloween version of the Grey Stuff overall, but didn’t care for the chocolate cookie on the bottom.

Candy Apple Cold Brew – $5.99

Cold Brew Coffee, Apple Syrup, Whipped Cream, and Caramel Sauce

A mountain of whipped cream and caramel sits on top of a cold brew concoction of coffee and apple sweetener.

While we are always fans of any version of coffee, the apple and cold brew mix was a little off-putting and frightfully sweet for our liking. There was a bitter aftertaste that lingered after each sip as well.

Although the Grey Stuff was a great treat for us, we’d definitely pass on this overly sweet trick.
