REVIEW: New Jalapeño Bacon Cheeseburger Arrives, Green Apple Lemonade Returns to Smokejumpers Grill for Halloween at Disney California Adventure
The spookiest time of the year is upon us, and Disney California Adventure has rolled out a ton of new treats for the Halloween season. We stopped into Smokejumpers Grill to try the new Jalapeño Bacon Cheeseburger. Plus, the Green Apple Lemonade has returned.
Green Apple Lemonade – $5.49
sour green apple syrup, cherry pearls, and raspberry sauce
The lemonade isn’t overly sweet, so the additional flavorings don’t make this super syrupy like we expected. The sour green apple syrup complemented the lemonade flavor very well but wasn’t noticeably apple-flavored. The raspberry syrup creates a dripping blood effect that lasts for quite a while. Unfortunately, that means you don’t get any raspberry flavor unless you vigorously stir the drink. The boba balls were plentiful in our beverage, so we had one with almost every sip. The cherry boba balls paired well with the sour lemonade. We enjoyed this refreshing beverage.
Jalapeño Bacon Cheeseburger – $14.49
Angus beef patty, pickled jalapeños, bacon, pepper jack, beer-battered onion rings, jalapeño popper, jalapeño chips, and chipotle mayo

It’s a solid burger. If you like jalapeños, then you will absolutely love this. It comes with your choice of waffle fries or onion rings. We chose waffle fries, and unfortunately, they were soggy. The onion rings in the burger were great and added some crunch. The jalapeño popper on top is a fun addition and fried to crispy perfection.
The chipotle mayo is fantastic; it adds the perfect amount of spice and flavor. We wish there were more, as the burger was a bit dry. The bacon was actually cooked enough for once, instead of the usual sad floppy bacon Disney loves to serve. We would order this again.
