We aren’t ones to pass up delicious beverages, and Rancho del Zocalo has two Halloween season options to quench your thirst. The horchata has returned from the 2019 holiday season, while a new Milk Mamey has debuted. The restaurant is also decorated for Dia de los Muertos.
Milk Mamey – $4.99
Vibrant tropical mamey fruit with flavors of persimmon, sweet potato, stone fruit, and vanilla served over ice
We weren’t quite sure what to expect from the description, but it’s interesting. If you made sweet potatoes into an Agua Fresca, this would be it. It’s refreshing, light, and not overly sweet. A fun Mexican drink to try for the holiday.
Creamy Horchata – $5.49
Sweet creamy cinnamon rice and milk beverage served over ice
Another thumbs up for both kids and adults! It’s a bit like you’re drinking cinnamon milk. It’s a well done, simple horchata. You can mix the whip cream and cinnamon in to add some extra creaminess and spice.
Between the two, we liked the Milk Mamey better, but Horchata fans will be happy with this.
