BREAKING: Indoor Character Meet and Greet Experiences Returning to Walt Disney World

Disney has announced the return of indoor character meet and greets to two Walt Disney World theme parks.

438-l-1

Returning indoor meet and greets include the following:

  • Disney Princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom
  • Mickey Mouse in his 50th Anniversary EARidescent outfit at Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom
  • Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Disney Junior Stars in the Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The above meet and greets will return in November, though an exact date was not given. It was also noted that hugs and autographs will not be permitted yet, but guests will be able to enjoy one-on-one time with the characters and take photos.

The various cavalcades, motorcades, and flotillas around the parks will still perform.

    • Thats not the question id be asking. Id be asking whats the difference of standing side by side someone interacting with them and signing autographs. Somethings just dont make sense

  1. We are bringing our little princess to Magic Kingdom on November 8 ( her 4th birthday ) would be great to see a princess or 2 , maybe at our lunch in Cinderella’s castle..

    • Cinderella has been at the castle. You just have to stay in your seats and she walks a short distance and waves to the kids. I went end of August 2021

    • Actually, no, it’s not hard at all. No harder than explaining why Mickey doesn’t talk back to your little kid when he/she says hi or asks a direct question. If you struggle with explaining this, you can always have Mickey’s Cast Member Assistant do it for you. They excel at that kinda stuff.

      • It is if every other time you have been they could now all of a sudden they cant. Its not that its difficult in saying its difficult in seeing their heart broken

        • The CMs know how to word things to prevent that kind of heartbreak. It’s something they’re trained to do – taking frowns and turning them upside down. Sometimes, something as simple as a fun and creative “air fist bump” with Mickey is enough to distract from the disappointment of not being able to hug. On top of that, children can be made to feel that they’ve done their part to “keep Mickey healthy.”

  2. With all cast member vaccinated, and you’d hope more guests, I think this is a wonder step in the right direction. This is a big part of a lot of guest’s Disney experience and those cast members can single handedly make a person’s day!
