A new way to compliment Walt Disney World Cast Members has debuted on the My Disney Experience app. To find it, click on the 50th anniversary experience guide on the front page of My Disney Experience.
At the very bottom of the guide is the option to share a compliment.
Clicking takes you to a page where you can select what you would like to thank Cast Members for.
These options include:
- Caring for my individual needs
- Celebrating a milestone with us
- Ensuring the location was sparkling clean
- Ensuring we felt welcome and included
- Going above and beyond to create happiness
- Helping me with a unique situation
- Helping us make memories by being Magic Makers
- Inspiring me to want to be a future Cast Member
- Keeping safety a priority
- Making our experience extra magical
- Paying special attention to my child(ren)
- Sharing a special memory or a unique tip with me
Note that there is no option to write in what the Cast Member(s) did.
You can then select the location of the Cast Members you are complimenting.
The locations include theme parks, as well as Disney Springs, hotels, BoardWalk, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and transportation. There is also an “other” option.
After selecting an overall location, you’ll have the option to pick a specific land or area.
You can then select a specific department from attractions, dining, shops, custodial, and entertainment. Once done, you click submit.
There is no option to give a Cast Member’s name, so the compliment would go to the department as a whole.
For the latest Disney Parks news and info, follow WDW News Today on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
The name needs to be added for sure. Individual achievement above and beyond should be rewarded. A whole department should not get accolades when possibly only a couple are exceeding expectations and the rest either not or doing less.
Please dont use this abomination. You cant write a personalized message nor give the Cast name. It goes to the department??? The 50th was dedicated to the Cast supposedly. Compliments are placed on our permanent record card and a source of personal pride. Please use twitter castcompliment, guest relations or a letter
