Disney Legend Ruthie Thompson has passed away at age 111. Executive Chairman of The Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger, shared the news on Twitter.
Thompson was an artist who worked in the ink and paint department of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” She went on to work on many Disney classics including “Dumbo,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Mary Poppins,” and “The Aristocats.” She retired after working on “The Rescuers” in 1975. In 2000, she was named a Disney Legend.
