A new digital register queue system has come to World of Disney in Disney Springs. The system makes it easier for guests to proceed to the next available register. In addition, the Mobile Checkout area has expanded.
As before, guests queue in a switchback leading to the registers.
At the end of the central queue, a new digital sign instructs guests to wait for the next available register.
Once a register is available, its number appears on the screen. Previously, a Cast Member was stationed here to direct guests to the next available register.
Guests then proceed to the corresponding register. Numbers on the floor and plexiglass dividers identify the register by number.
A device mounted to the back of the display likely allows for communication between it and the registers. The new system replaces the paddles that Cast Members previously raised at available registers.
The Mobile Checkout area has also grown.
A wrapping and bagging table has replaced a merchandise display.

i realize disney might find this surprising but, some of us older folks do not have some damn smart phone. nor do we like living our lives on them. by the way, we, unlike the young folks, are the ones that still have some money to actually go to disney. for now!
