New interactive shoulder Banshees are available for adoption in Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disney shared more details about the new Banshees earlier this month, stating they would have updated features. New Banshee accessories are also available.
Banshees, a.k.a. ikran, have been available to adopt from the Banshee Rookery in Windtraders since Pandora – The World of Avatar opened. Here, a Naturalist from Alpha Centauri Expeditions helps guests pick a Banshee. Accessories are also available at the Rookery.
New Pandora Banshees
There are four new Banshees, replacing all of the previous Banshees. Each has unique coloring and patterns. Guests can control their movements via a wireless remote, directing the Banshees’ heads, mouths, and wings. Previous Banshees had wired remotes.
The figures have authentic sounds provided by Lightstorm Entertainment and glow-in-the-dark “bioluminescence” features. When traveling around Pandora, shoulder Banshees will notice and communicate with other interactive Banshees, including wrist Banshee hatchlings. They will also react to being pet by their owners.
The wireless remote is brown, resembling wood wrapped in rope. It has a canvas wrist strap. The buttons and switch are blue.
Each Banshee comes with a magnetic shoulder pad, which guests tuck under their shirt to hold the Banshee. The plastic clip is to secure the dangling tail.
Each Banshee includes instructions for using the remote, shoulder pad, and clip.
