If you’re ready to “sivako” (“rise to the challenge”) of raising your very own banshee, you can meet your new best friend and begin bonding at the Banshee Rookery inside Windtraders at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Dark Navy Blue Banshee – $70
Within Pandora — The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Rookery has a flock of new Banshees that have hatched at Windtraders and are ready for guests to adopt.
This new dark navy blue Banshee appears almost black in the lighting of the shop.
Under stronger lighting, we see the banshee really shows its true colors. The banshee has yellow and teal details, as well as some red accents.
The banshee’s belly is white, contrasting starkly with its body coloring.
The banshees have been zip-tied to the rookery display to prevent any unexpected flights prior to their adoption. Still, we were able to see this banshee’s beautiful wing coloration, transitioning from red to navy blue, with yellow and blue veining over it. At the tip of the banshee’s wings, a white dragonfly wing-like pattern finishes the design.
These articulated puppets come in a variety of styles. Each one is powered with a bicycle brake-style mechanism, using pressure to perform a variety of movements like turning their heads.
