UPDATE: Savage Bros. Logos Covered Amidst Inclusivity Efforts at Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom

Yesterday, we reported on the visible Savage Bros. logos on equipment in the refurbished Main Street Confectionery. The logo features an image of a Native American with a headdress, a logo which Savage Bros. had recently announced their intention to change due to community outcry. As of today, all Savage Bros. logos visible at the Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom have been covered.

The equipment is visible in the Confection Kitchen, where Cast Members make some of the confections that guests can purchase.

Over the logos are white pieces of paper labeling what kind of chocolate is in the machine.

The machines have white chocolate, dark chocolate, and milk chocolate.

The Main Street Confectionery recently reopened following an extensive refurbishment, which included the addition of a new backstory. A host of new characters were introduced as part of the ongoing inclusivity efforts across Walt Disney World, including Dr. Alsoomse Tabor, an Indigenous woman from Blackfeet Nation, Montana.

The word “savage” has a long history of being used derogatorily toward Native Americans. Though Savage Bros. was named after the founders Richard and Edward Savage, that information is not outwardly available to guests.
