REVIEW: Casey’s Corner Knocks It Out of the Park with 50th Anniversary Menu Items at Magic Kingdom

It’s the 50th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom, and that means new foods, new experiences, and new merchandise. Among the new bites offered at Magic Kingdom today are a few new hot dogs from Casey’s Corner on Main Street, U.S.A.

Like something out of Tokyo Disneyland, we now have these meal sets that include food, drinks, and dessert. The chili cheese dog is the classic Casey’s cheese offering with a well-seasoned chili loaded with beans. The fries are the standard offering. The cake pop is pretty, but it will melt fairly quickly from the Florida sun, which will make your photography difficult due to the smudged icing. The cake itself was moist with a strong chocolate flavor.

Walt’s Chili-Cheese All-Beef Foot-long Hot Dog — $13.49

Served with fries, this is the 12-inch version of the item. While it’s the same ingredients, the size makes this hard to eat. The chili will eventually soak through the bun, making it impossible to pick up. As long as you don’t mind eating this with a fork and knife, it’s as enjoyable as the regular version.

50th Celebration Hot Dog — $11.99

All-Beef Hot Dog topped with Strawberry-Bacon Jam, Crisp Funnel Cake Pieces, and Powdered Sugar

If you enjoy a sweeter topping on your hot dog, then this is sure to please. The saltiness of the hot dog is counterbalanced well. The funnel cake pieces just blend in; they didn’t really add anything. Overall, it’s a fine option.

  1. I absolutely refuse to pay $20.00 for a hot dog, fries, drink and mini dessert. For 4 people that’s $80.00! For friggin HOT DOGS. We ate at the Smokehouse in Animal Kingdom and had a great meal for under $70.00.
