Tokyo Disneyland & Tokyo DisneySea to Extend Hours & Raise Capacity Starting November 1st

After nearly six months of harsh capacity and hours cuts, Tokyo Disney Resort is finally taking steps towards normality once more. Thanks to new guidelines from the Chiba Prefectural Government, park capacity will increase once again, and operating hours will finally be extended starting November 1st.

From November 1st, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will be allowed to increase capacity has high as 50% (estimated to be somewhere around 35,000-40,000 Guests per day) per new guidelines from the Chiba Prefectural Government. The resort has spent most of 2021 under guidelines forcing them to admit as few as 5000 Guests per day to each park, making the process of getting tickets extremely frustrating and competitive. While the Oriental Land Company did not specify exactly what capacity the parks will be from November 1st, we do know that it will be enough to finally lengthen operating hours.

Starting November 1st, the two theme parks will operate with the following hours:

  • Tokyo Disneyland—9am to 8pm
  • Tokyo DisneySea—9am to 9pm

Ticket sales are scheduled to reopen in two phases as well.

  • October 25th through November 13th—Sales begin October 22nd at 2pm JST
  • November 14th through 26th—Sales begin October 25th at 2pm JST

In line with this capacity increase, Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade: DreamLights will return to the streets of Tokyo Disneyland from November 1st as well.
