Bob Iger Spends Final Days as Part of Company at Walt Disney World, Commends Cast Members

Bob Iger’s final day with The Walt Disney Company is approaching. He spent some of the past week at Walt Disney World and tweeted a thanks to Cast Members this morning.

Iger said he “was reminded (yet again) what makes me so proud of [Disney]…our cast members! Thanks for taking care of me all these years. Thanks for your talent, your commitment & the gratitude you expressed.”

Iger stepped down as CEO in February 2020, handing the title to Bob Chapek, and has since remained as a Chairman. He will leave the company at the end of this year.

  1. Acquiring Pixar, Marvel, Lucas Film. Adding or starting the addition of: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land, Guardians Coaster, Tron, New Fantasy Land, Remy’s, Pandora, Disney+, Building Disneyland Shanghai. Such a shame that such a legacy is just going to be scarred by the cheapskate he hand picked as his successor who has given us the abortion of Genie Plus, loves the park reservation system, restricted park hopping and literally had to be made fun of by Stephen Colbert on national TV to bring back parking lot trams.

  2. Didnt the Nickel & Diming , price gouging, etc start under his watch Though. I mean sure chapek took it to the next level probably to impress his boss Iger.

  3. hopefully soon, we will hear how iger is replacing chapek. or that someone, anyone, is replacing the bean headed bean counter.
