Disney Genie at Walt Disney World has been having trouble with individual Lightning Lane selections this morning. Initially, individual Lightning Lane options did not populate in My Disney Experience at all.
The option to purchase individual Lightning Lane access to the most popular attractions — including Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance — usually appears on the Disney Genie tip board.
None of the individual Lightning Lane attractions had the option listed at 7:00 a.m.
If we visited the attraction’s page in My Disney Experience and tapped the Lightning Lane option, we were just brought back to the tip board.
A Cast Member at Magic Kingdom told us that the system had crashed.
A message began popping up in My Disney Experience informing guests that individual Lightning Lane purchases were not available for now.
By 8:15 a.m., individual Lightning Lane selections were seemingly available.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance was sold out within a few minutes.
However, by 9:05 a.m., the service was having trouble again. Some individual selections were shown as sold out when they actually weren’t.
We had never seen Expedition Everest sell out before, so it seemed unlikely it had sold out within an hour.
For a while, Frozen Ever After was the only attraction with individual Lightning Lane availability.
Sure enough, another message popped up informing guests that the system was still experiencing errors and that it should be running smoothly by 9:30 a.m.

Every time I see the price next to an attraction was ONCE INCLUDED WITH PARK ADMISSION it just enrages me. Time for Disney to cut its losses with this thing and go back to fastpass+
