Last week, we learned that trams would be returning to Walt Disney World parking lots this month and throughout 2022, starting with the Transportation and Ticket Center in front of Magic Kingdom. We are now seeing Cast Members training with the trams.

Traffic lights were on at the Transportation and Ticket Center bridge and guests were not allowed to walk in the street.

Trams have not operated at Walt Disney World since March 2020, when the parks closed due to COVID-19.

An exact reopening date for the Magic Kingdom trams was not announced, so it may depend on how training goes.

That is so cool. I would love to drive the tram or pilot the monorail.
I have actually worked in both roles as part of my bucket list items back in ’99 an ’00 and it was a lot of fun.
But I’m not crazy about the current tram colors. Is it just me, or should the tram cars match the color of the cab by having a colored stripe so it doesn’t look mismatched. Quite honestly, I’m more for uniformity and world have preferred if they used the same look as the new buses by incorporating the red and black stripe color scheme with the updated Disney Transport logo on the front cab. This would keep the Disney Transport fleet consistent.
