Autistic Teen Leads Main Street Philharmonic Band During Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade

A music-loving teenager with autism led the Main Street Philharmonic band during the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade special broadcast this morning.

Luke Barry from Massachusetts has loved marching bands since he was a toddler and has collected over 30 instruments. He helped create his own neighborhood marching ensemble with friends and family. Disney surprised him with the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World for the first time and march with the Main Street Philharmonic.

Luke got to dress in the band’s uniform and join them as a special guest percussionist.
