PHOTOS, VIDEO: Updated New Year’s Eve Countdown Fireworks at EPCOT Using Harmonious Barges

New year’s eve celebrations returned to Walt Disney World this year, including “Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration” and countdown fireworks at EPCOT.

The New Year’s Countdown fireworks began at 11:54PM. The show was similar to years past, but now utilizes the Harmonious barges in World Showcase Lagoon.

  1. Disney used to do their NYE shows in MK and EPCOT 2 nights in a row. Now just MK got 2 nights. Makes for a harder decision for NYE, which park do you want to be in for the real thing vs being able to catch both shows.
