Liberty Tree Tavern and The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom are serving two drinks in honor of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World: I Cannot Tell a Lie and Tavern Punch. Both drinks are non-alcoholic and cost extra from the all-you-care-to-enjoy menu.
I Cannot Tell a Lie – $9.00
Vanilla and cherry shake garnished with a brown sugar-graham cracker rim
This has a very artificial cherry flavor, but we liked it. The graham cracker crust and cherry make for a pleasant presentation. We recommend it, although it’s essentially a double dessert along with the Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake.
Tavern Punch – $9.00
Frozen DOLE Whip Lemon and Sprite
This is refreshing and perfect for a hot day, although it would be better if we could take it outside.
The Lemon DOLE Whip and Sprite are a perfect combination, with the Sprite bringing a dash of lime to a tart lemon-heavy taste. It’s good, too.
