Although it was set to reopen this morning with the Magic Kingdom after some planned annual maintenance over the past month, Splash Mountain mysteriously remained closed for most of the day. But finally, just as the park is getting ready to close, the attraction has reopened.
The attraction quietly reopened to guests around 7:45pm this evening. With a 9:00pm closing time, guests at the Magic Kingdom only had around an hour to enjoy the newly-refurbished attraction before it was time to leave for the day.
Reportedly, the issue with reopening was related to getting water into the attraction, although the reasons for water not flowing into the attraction on time are unclear.

I counted at least six things still malfunctioning.
1)The projection(?) of Brer Fox and Brer Bear chasing Brer Rabbit is off.
2)The million dollar rabbit is still off.
3)The water cannon that sprays people going up the lift hill next to the big drop is off and is no longer buzzing.
4)The jumping fountains are off.
5)The turtles near the jumping fountains aren’t moving.
6)The water going down the rocks after the big drop is still off.
There must’ve been something wrong with the water pump.
