  1. This is the most ridiculous thing ever! They are essentially discouraging people from going for multiple days. The longer you stay the greater the price increase is.

    • I have granddaughters wanting to take bc I remember going as a kid, this is rediculous they are gouging prices especially to stay longer! Maybe we need to look elsewhere for new adventures. Very heartbreaking and sad

  2. Intresting that they are changing the backend of longer ticket stays. Not by a ton but definitely nothing to just sneeze at either. Would this have an effect to shorten people’s trips some? They must have “data” on that in some way.

    • They won’t be getting anymore of my money. You can go on a nice cruise for that much and not wait in lines. And food is excluded. More relaxing. How many times can you ride it’s a small world or pirates of the Caribbean. Watch it on YouTube. Same experience after you’ve been a thousand times since 1973.

  3. No Massssssssss… these Parks are now only for Locals…. West Coast people… Disneyland here we came…. Adios Florida

    • I grew up going to WDW. Four years ago we actually moved to Jacksonville, Fl. and thought we were so lucky to be able to purchase platinum season passes. We could go anytime we wanted! Over the course of a year we realized every visit was worse than the previous visit. Everything that Walt Disney stood for is LONG GONE! Customer service is awful! Rooms are nothing special anymore. And we stayed on property and off. We even had two experiences where we got in the room and the tv had been replaced with a much smaller version than was originally there with cords and wires hanging everywhere. I sware to you that I picked up that phone to call the front desk and the phone didn’t work!! Being there a year you also notice things like many of the rides animatronics figures look like they haven’t been painted in years. Chips of paint just fell off and never fixed! And the Avitar flight of passage ride, never got to ride it. I wasn’t going to spend an entire day standing in line for one ride!! Ohh… let’s not forget $60 for a family of four to eat one boiled hotdog, medium fry, and a drink! I LOVED WDW but just like everything else like malls, just a thing of the past. Give me Bush Gardens in Williamsburg, Va. anyday over that place again.

  4. Just plain DISgusting.. were traveling now to Disneyland once a year instead of DW twice a year because less money is spent overall.. i.e the staying off property in one of the awesome Anaheim resorts and being only 2 parks.. still heading to disneyworld for our annual Christmas trip. Idk I wish they would stop

    • This is really sad. Disney is making it impossible for the average family to experience the magic. My last visit was 2020 and it’s sad to think that was most likely my last visit.

  5. Disney is pricing people out I’m done with Disney, I have universal tickets and a much better deal. Thank new ceo for hikes. I’m not paying his new doubled salary

    • Disney got Greedy, walt disney set the park for all family to afford, now it seems for the rich.
Since corvid they took advantage of the two month they closed slapped on extra cost, not only we pay to get into the parks, we also now have to pay for lightening lanes for rides, longer queue has formed as people won’t pay for to go on rides when disney use to provide fast passes in with the cost, larger queue has made it worse for disney & the 1st summer since since other countries are allowed back into USA
The new CEO is making a mockery of what walt disney sent out to build.
Disney got freddy, people overseas is boycotting disney due to the massive costs not only to parks, but hotels resorts, merchandise, food, disney just isn’t worth the cost anymore ITS COME DOWN TO GREED

  6. BREAKING: Walt Disney World Increases Ticket Prices on Multi-Day Tickets, Park Hopper, and More Breaking: Its now warmer during the day then at night. BREAKING: Water is wet
BREAKING: Now if Disney was to lower prices on anything, that would require a headline with the word BREAKING. But Disney raising prices? nothing new there and yet the lines and the waits get longer each day. If you dont pay to get quick access maybe you get to ride 6 or 7 rides in a full day at Disney… Have a Magical Day…ya right

  7. Nothing new here. Bob Paycheck continues to destroy Disney with outlandish prices only the wealthy can afford. Wake up people…..STOP going to Disney and send them the message. If you don’t, your telling them that price increases are OK and obviously they will keep raising them. If you enjoy high prices and continued monthly price increases, keep visiting the parks.

  8. Why should Disney be able to try to recoup their losses because of the pandemic when We, for the most part suffered losses that we cannot recoup. Disney is not the real Disney anymore!

  9. WOW

I will no longer be visiting twice a year. (And right after I purchased a DVC contract!) I arrive to find no Mears, resort parking fee, no fast passes, obtain park reservation, no dining plan, etc (I’m sure) and now price increases will leave me taking a boat load of kids elsewhere. I will be spending my time in FL much differently, offering my money to other properties and sites while using my room only reservation. There are a lot of places in the US to visit. See ya in a few years.

    • Yes because it’s already a rip off and way overpriced. Just returned from DW and was extremely disappointed. I used to think it was the best place on Earth but Disney only cares about one thing: MONEY. They used to care about your experience and make it memorable vacation but this trip only made me think. Universal Studios next year.

    • It just gives people another reason to complain about Disney and how there never going back. I find it rather comical.

  10. The average cost of a 7 day vacation in WDW is approaching $25,000 for a family of four. This seems a little expensive to stand in lines for seven days.

    • I have no idea where you got your$25,000, but when we went with 5 adults and 4 kids and stayed at OKW with 5 day hopper and 6 nights it was under $6500.

    • Out of curiosity where do you stay , eat , etc for a 7 day trip for 4? I’ve gone for 10 days family of 5 & don’t come to spending anything close to $25,000

    • Family of 4 at Pop Century for 7 nights: $1600
      Park tickets: $2000
Spending money: 50 per person per day = $1400
It’s more like $5000 for a week, plus travel.

Sure, if you stay at the Grand Californian in a 2 bedroom, and eat all sit down meals, and buy tons of merchandise, and don’t look for sales or discounts, you could pay more than $20,000.

  11. I was taught when I was younger if you’ve got nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all. So here goes………………………………………………………………………………………………….
…………………………………………………….I know I’m only 1 family but we changed our yearly trip this year to Universal. Never been really didn’t care but Disney has just sickened me over the past fee years……sorry

  12. We as a family have been going to Disney for 45 years. It has been a destination of ours and our children and our grandchildren. Every couple of years prices go up, it has become increasingly difficult for average family’s to go there, and with all the other changes we will seek other entertainment. So with a sadness I say good bye.

  13. I suggest u can still go to DW but don’t buy overpriced apparel and other souvenirs.Go moderate or value resort if u want to stay onsite.Eat counter serve for lunch and off site for dinner.Even cut down on number of parks u go to.And yes Universal and Sea World are definitely better values.Maybe avoid Disney movies. If per guest spending drops maybe they (Chapek) will get hint. Can only hope.

  14. This is so sad to hear. Disney makes money hand over foot from hard working people who go to the parks because the absolutely love it. But it is getting so expensive to go that the average working class just can’t afford it much longer. With the cost of everything that I have to have on a daily basis going up( gas, food, electric, housing) Disney is a luxury vacation now. Now longer economical for an middle class family with children. Shame on you Disney making the Happiest Place on Earth out of each for most of Us.

  15. I’m so sick of Disney raising prices! They’re going to do it with Disney+ as well. Disney is really beginning to suck!

  16. Only Disney could continue to raise prices for a product that is reducing in quality and quantity. Waiting for the transportation add on to materialise!

  17. For the last 22 years I have been a DVC member and have gone to Disney World once a year. This year will be it for me, I am done with Disney. I will be selling my shares to Beach Club Villas and Bay Lake Towers. I already have plans for 2 trips to Universal. Disney, Universal Studios “Epic Universe” park will open in a couple years giving Universal 3 theme parks in Orlando. The past year has taken me from a dedicated fan to a Disney hater. I am paying a lot more and getting less in return. I can sell my DVC membership for almost 2 time what I paid for it. That will pay for a lot of vacations some where else.

  18. The trip to WDW coming up in the very near future will be my last. I’m only going because I promised my husband before he passed away that I would take the grandkids. I could buy a brand new luxury car with the money I’m spending to go. And we haven’t paid for food, transportation, parking fees and any souvenirs. I’m going to enjoy it one last time. I wonder what Walt would think?

  19. Well maybe more people will stop griping but still pay the money and actually stop going. That is the only way to get the company to learn and change their ways. I am looking forward to a few years from now when we can go and urban explore the place as an abandoned ruins. Looking forward to Dollywood this year.

  20. Disney is making it harder for families to vacation there. Now have to pay for getting on rides when it already costs an arm and a leg for park tickets. No free transportation services from the airport. Food prices have also increased. Walt Disney’s dream was for families to have a place to go to and enjoy time together. He must be rolling in his grave. Certainly wasn’t Walt’s dream. Me and my family will start looking for other places to vacation at with reasonable prices.

  21. Just got off the plane 2 hours ago from a week long vacation. Save your money and go to Universal and Sea World. The Genie plus and lightning lanes suck. Lines for Rise of the Resistance was 4 hours long and you could not even pay extra for the lightning lanes.

  22. Don’t forget the hundreds you have to spend for the genie when taking multiple people. The entire time we were there, the genie pass wasn’t available for any of the rides. It was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. Bring back fast pass or something. Also, everything has moved to your phone. Majority of the time while there, people were running into each other because everyone was on their phones trying to work the app. It was an awful experience and I don’t care if I ever go back. I

  23. well, time to make our three trips per year to stay at dvc and get a universal annual pass. seems a no brainer. our stays are already paid for and we still get to go to an amusement park fairly cheap. bob the bean counter, choke on that you dang beancounter. hopefully the stockholders will vote you off the board!

  24. This is ridiculous. We love Disney but we are done. Who can afford these prices plus the cost of food. So sorry you don’t think about everyone when you raise these prices. Other things to do a lot cheaper.

  25. Makes me wish the world would boycott Disney. They’re pricing people out of their parks and it’s uncalled for. Walt Disney is probably rolling in his grave with the current prices.

  26. I guess we will do the opposite of what we normally do and stay at Universal and pick a park to visit Disney. This makes me very sad. Does Disney want to close Disney World? I am beginning to think so. Maybe they feel like they won’t have to put in anything new if they keep raising the prices.

  27. Until people stop going and show the “Rich Disney Execs” that we’ve had enough. Nothing will change. As long as the demand is there the prices will continue to go up and up. Only to give THEM a pocket full of money !! How much does Chapek make a year ?! $60,000,000. How many of us make that kind of money on the backs of hard working ,Disney
Loving blue collar workers !!! Go to the beach or the mountains folks !!!!

  28. WE CANT BRING OUR GRANDKIDS AT THAT RATE…. AND WE DONT EVEN RIDE THE RIDES … NOT COUNTING FOOD/ DRINKS AND ALL THE GOODIES !! LETS BRAKE THEIR BANK !! WE ARE DONE WITH DISNEY !!!

  29. We just returned from a trip from Disney World a few weeks ago and I’m just completely disgusted with Disney and will likely not return. They keep taking more and more from our pocketbooks and giving less and less in return. In addition to that, being on hold for 2 to 3 hours on the customer call line is obscene!

  30. Where in the world did you get 25k?? Are you staying in villas? I booked a 4 person stay for 7 days a few days ago and it was less than 4k. Now that’s before food but still you’re 21k off

  31. Disney is really turning family off with the taking advantage. Price gouging. I usually take my family every other year for my daughter birthday No more and hello Universal Studio. Bye Bye Disney. AND BOB thanks for nothing.

  32. I am so tired of seeing my hard earned dollars go out for an experience that is less and less magical every time we go. Fast passes were once free now you pay. Having to pay to go on rides above and beyond the regular ticket price. Full price meals without the character interaction. I am getting tired of having to pay more for less.

  33. Ok then open earlier close later. Add main street electric parade or paint the night. Get Tron open AND Cosmic Rewind. Also you get one comped one glass of blue milk. Maybe a Bob Paycheck trading card

  34. Prices are ridiculous plus they charge for parking on top of the admissions costs and food and beverages are overpriced no way families can afford these prices

  35. Really? Let’s just say Bull …. If you look up the pricing for a 5 day Park Hopper in 2019 it was $395 for an Adult. This article says a 5 day Park Hopper is going from $554 to $721 now. If this is the first major price adjustment since 2019 then should the pricing say $395 to $721? Must be that Disney math training that missed the $326 increase over the last 3 years. Just wondering????

  36. Add back the non expiration option for multi ticket days! That would help! It used to be a little cheaper when you got multiple days and then paid extra for a non expiration option. As we only go a couple of days to the parks while we are there it was nice to go a few times and use these days over those trips!

  37. We will be cancelling our 8 day Nov22 trip. It’s not really the price but the reduced quality experience. Between lines, no more luggage transfer from airport, packed shoulder’to’shoulder parks and food value….just losing the magic.

  38. Will NOT be returning to Disney World, Florida. So sad Walt Disney’s VISION has been corrupted by money-grubbing bandits only concerned with “the bottom line”. I am 60 years old, never been to Disney World before this year because of high prices. Have been to Universal many times. My 2 daughters and I visited Disney World last week as a birthday present–our overall united comment, “Not nearly as Magical as we had hoped/been excited for/envisioned”. With price hikes and the Genie+ being so complicated and confusing–AND EXTRA MONEY SPENT($15/person on Genie)–we definitely WILL NOT BE BACK if the price increases stay in place. We will spend our hard earned money at Universal where we spend less for a whole lot more FUN!! Shame on you Disney!!

    • Totally agree, but whatever Disney does, Universal copies. It’s just a matter of time. It’s a shame. They will all price themselves out. You got to be a rich person to go to these theme parks nowadays. Dreams are being crushed and they don’t care!

  39. What hasn’t gone up in the last few years?Disney has had its operational costs go up too (gas, utilities, food, insurance, etc) just like you & I. A $15 to $20 raise in price on a multi day ticket shouldn’t ruin anybodys vacation.

  40. I read an article this week that said Disney no longer cares about the family that packs a lunch for the park to save money. They are focusing on the people with big money to spend. Can anyone say ‘elitist’….

  41. Walt and Roy would not be for this continued money grab. Disney is squeezing the life financial life out of families who want to go

  42. Thank you BOB for ruining little girls and little boys Disney dreams. The average family cannot afford a child’s dream vacation. Thanks again BOB.

  43. This is so so sad. My family has enjoyed WDW for many years and now I take my family. Not anymore. THE PRICE GOUGHING IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULIOUS. I can pay less and get way better accommodations with food included on a CRUISE. We cancelled our trip to Disney. What Walt started as an affordable FAMILY adventure has turned into a CEO that has become Money Hungry. No longer affordable. So Sad. The rides need to be updated. So sad again.

  44. They are just becoming a money grab keep charging more and getting less been going twice a year but getting priced out we just walk the parks but last couple years areas of park closed for construction don’t get discount still pay more besides charging extra for rides now what a shame as far as make up for money loss please unfortunately people will pay regardless Hello Dollywood
