Walt Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley revealed this morning that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will have a store called Treasures of Xandar and gave us a first look at its sign. Let’s take our own look at the sign, as well as general construction in front of the new EPCOT coaster.

The actual pavilion building is almost complete, having been repainted.

Plants now encircle the courtyard housing the Xandarian starship.

Several rolling planters usually used to block off construction are also sitting next to the courtyard.

The presence of these planters may mean some construction walls will be coming down soon.

Some crew members in cherry picker and scissor lift vehicles were working on the front of the pavilion today.

The front of the building and roof has been completely covered in silver paneling.

We were plagued by lens flare during our first trip around the park.

Ladders sat on the ground next to the courtyard, which has gates leading in and out of it.

The front of the starship stand has been cleaned up after paint dripped down it.

During our first trip, the Treasures of Xandar sign was covered with a black tarp.

On our next pass, there were many crew members, and Walt Disney Imagineers gathered around the doors to the store.

Orange plastic fencing blocks the main entrance to the building while work continues.

Queue signs and warning signs were installed last month.

Guests will exit the attraction on the side of the building, through the Treasures of Xandar store.

The sign for the store is on an overhang above the automatic doors.

There is one sign facing forward, and another hanging beneath the overhang. They are both grey with a purple stripe.

The backstory of the store is that it is operated by The Broker, a character from “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

“Some of the merchandise pays tribute to Xandar and items acquired throughout the galaxy and, of course, some items celebrate The Heroes of Xandar, the Guardians of the Galaxy,” Riddley wrote in his Instagram post.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is scheduled to open during Memorial Day weekend.
