Greetings from the Universal Orlando Resort! It’s a cool day, but the sun is shining! So, let’s head over to the parks and check out what’s new in this photo report from April 8, 2022.

It’s Grad Bash season, so check the park hours! Both parks close at 6 PM today for the event.

Let’s start the day over at Islands of Adventure.

It felt like a lazy day already.

More pieces have been removed from the arch at the entrance to Seuss Landing. It looks like they may be getting ready to repair it soon.

Mythos looked pretty busy this morning. The park didn’t feel too crowded, so seeing so many people lined up for lunch was odd.

Poseidon’s Fury had a 50-minute wait pretty early in the day. It’s nice to have the attraction back and thriving here in the Lost Continent.

Mardi Gras merchandise continues to get marked down. There are tons of discounts, so grab some cheap merch while you still can.

The Three Broomsticks has debuted a new vegan Mushroom Pie, so we stopped in to give it a try. Stay tuned for our full review, and check out our review of the vegan Shepherd’s Pie from the Magic Neep cart.

We got to pet one of the baby dinosaurs down in the Jurassic Park Discovery Center. She’s tons of fun to meet if you can catch the baby triceratops out with her handlers.

When they run out of goats in Jurassic Park, they feed the T-Rex lost children from Camp Jurassic.

Over at Universal Studios Florida, the park was setting up for Grad Bash. There are a lot of great photo ops set up. Congratulations, class of 2022!

Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey are in their Mardi Gras outfits. We saw Donkey last week, and now we’ve spotted Fiona and Shrek dressed to impress. Check out Shrek’s Mardi Gras onion beads.

We spotted a ladder behind the construction walls in the old Shrek 4-D queue. Check out our farewell tour of Shrek 4-D before it closed.

Please never leave your service dog alone outside of an attraction. Even if you don’t want to take the dog with you on the attraction, Team Members can assist you with a kennel and wait with your service animal while you ride. Don’t worry! A Team Member resolved the situation.

A new photo op for “The Bad Guys” can be found in KidZone across from Fievel’s Playland.

The monster caricature artist is gone, and the Franken-mold has been moved into place. Hopefully, it returns because they were great souvenirs. Monster caricature artists would make a great addition to HHN; just saying!

After a long day in the theme parks, we’ve all felt this way. A nice long nap sounds good right about now.

We’re going to get out of here, but thanks for following us around the parks today. We’ll be back again soon, so keep following Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates.
