- Greetings from the Universal Orlando Resort! It’s a hot, humid day, but we’re ready to make our way around the parks and see what’s happening today. Let’s head over to Universal Studios Florida first in a photo report from May 15.
Universal Studios Florida

- The Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass is now on sale for the Universal Orlando Resort event.
- Universal Orlando Resort has officially announced the first house in the lineup for Halloween Horror Nights 31: Universal Monsters: Legends Collide.
- With the announcement, new merchandise has arrived at Universal Studios Florida in the Five & 10.
- If you love the Superstar Parade at Universal Studios Florida, you have until June 4 to catch your last viewing.
- Starting June 7, the Shrek and Donkey (and sometimes Fiona) meet-and-greet at Universal Studios Florida will temporarily close.
- Though not officially announced by Universal Orlando Resort yet, this summer’s Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida will reportedly be retro-themed.
- Trusses have gone up at the entrance to the Tribute Store in Universal Studios Florida.
- After trusses went up yesterday, the entrance to the summer Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida has fully taken shape.
Universal’s Islands of Adventure

- Pteranodon Flyers has closed for unscheduled maintenance at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
- New phone cases, as well as an Apple Watch band and magnet, featuring elements of “Jaws,” “Back to the Future,” and “E.T.” are now available at U-Design kiosks throughout the parks.
- Construction walls have been removed from around Toon Extra in Toon Lagoon at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
- Scrim has been removed from around some of Caro-Seuss-el, which remains closed for refurbishment.
- While visiting Islands of Adventure, we took a stroll through Camp Jurassic and spotted construction walls near the exit of Pteranodon Flyers.
- The Seuss Landing kids’ play area, “If I Ran the Zoo,” is temporarily closed at Islands of Adventure in Universal Orlando Resort, and we got a look at the refurbishment progress.
Universal Orlando CityWalk
- The Orlando fire department responded to a possible hazmat situation at Universal CityWalk Orlando.
- Universal has expanded their trademark for “Universal’s Great Movie Escape” to include possible merchandise in addition to escape rooms.
Universal Orlando Resort Hotels

- A new refillable souvenir mug is available at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
Universal Studios Hollywood

- Dates have been announced for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood.
- Universal Studios Hollywood will be hosting an exclusive Pass Member Park Takeover on Thursday, June 9, 2022, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.
- A super assortment of Super Nintendo World items has arrived at Universal Studios Hollywood to join the items we found previously.
- As we previously reported, the first maze in the lineup for Halloween Horror Nights 2022 was announced — Universal Monsters: Legends Collide features The Mummy, Dracula, and The Wolf Man. Now, new merchandise featuring this trio was spotted in Production Central at Universal Studios Hollywood.
- Hop in the nearest warp pipe, and collect this new Super Nintendo World Mini Backpack.
- Since our last construction update, Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen has been surrounded by scaffolding and black scrim.

- Four new merchandise collections have arrived at Universal Studios Hollywood. One celebrates the 40th anniversary of “E.T.” Two more are inspired by “Jaws” and “Back to the Future,” while the fourth features all three retro films.
- Universal Studios Hollywood has three new plastic shopping bags available throughout the theme park and CityWalk.
- Themed elements have slowly been installed and uncovered throughout Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood with visible progress on Bowser’s Castle.
- The old location of the Production Central shop at Universal CityWalk Hollywood has closed, and the merchandise has been moved into what was previously the Cartooniversal Toy Shop.
- New Hogsmeade merchandise inspired by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has arrived at Universal Studios Hollywood.
- Lounge at home, school, or work this new Hogwarts-branded apparel available at Universal Studios Hollywood.
- New pins and keychains inspired by “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” have arrived at Universal Studios Hollywood.
- Small purses inspired by The Bride of Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s Monster have arrived at Universal Studios Hollywood.
- Cocina Mexicana at Universal Studios Hollywood is serving up two new drinks and a sopes dish for summer and we stopped by to give them a try.
