A new “Lightyear”-inspired beverage holder gauntlet is available starting today at Galactic Grill in Disneyland. This gauntlet is similar to the Iron Man gauntlet available in Avengers Campus.
Lightyear Gauntlet – $27.99
This gauntlet comes with your choice of fountain beverage, coffee, hot tea, or hot chocolate. There is a limit of two per person, per transaction. No discounts apply.
The gauntlet looks like a spacesuit glove, with a laser pack strapped on top of it.
The hand of the gauntlet holds a cup for storing your soda.
The laser pack has orange-brown section with a grey tube going in and out of it. A small black screen is on the wrist.
The hand of the glove is pale gold with a purple strip across the knuckles and a green panel on the back.
The fingertips and the attached cup are also purple.
The edge of the gauntlet is green.
A red button on the bottom activates a laser light and screen.
The screen reads “001.”
The laser is red.

Hi! I simply have to ask: what’s the point of the gauntlet beverage holders? Aside from it being a park collectible, and the slight cool-factor, it just seems rather cumbersome to carry/use in my opinion. I’d love to know if it’s worth the purchase.
