After closing with the pandemic and not returning, it was made official in November, 2020 that Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show was cancelled. Then in May, signage and the Mickey statue began being removed from the front of the building. And now, a demolition permit filed for the location shows that more work is coming soon.
In a tweet from @DisneylandWorks, we see that a work permit was recently filed to begin the removal of much of the animal handling area backstage. The buffalo enclosure, the horse stable and the horse-riding arena are all slated for demolition, along with some pre-built containers and a technical room.
This is the most recent step in the major transformation of Disney Village, which was announced to begin work this year.
