REVIEW: Earth Eats Adds an Incredible Meatball Plate to the Menu for the 2022 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

If you’re feeling like you can conquer the impossible, then I’d recommend making a stop at the Earth Eats booth while visiting the 2022 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. This booth is serving creative dishes centered around Impossible meat, and they’ll leave your whole family asking for more.

Epcot Food and Wine 2018 Earth Eats Impossible Burger

There’s a lot going on with this one. Those unaware of the recent infatuation with the Impossible Burger, let’s catch you up to speed — the company selling these burgers has made them entirely vegan, but they taste like meat, down to having the ‘bleeding’ effect that a medium-rare burger would have. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your tastes), this one is well-done and doesn’t have any juices flowing from it. The spicy slaw and wasabi cream on top adds a great kick to bring the stale burger to life.

We’d never know this was Impossible meat. The meat is incredibly tender and not dry at all. The meatballs themselves have an herb taste to them, which works really well with the polenta.

The entire dish is seasoned very well. We loved this!

Unfortunately, this drink tasted slightly watered down. We got a strong hit of the strawberry flavor, but couldn’t really find the lemon or ginger flavor. It was pretty weak and we found ourselves searching for more.

Stephen Vincent Pinot Noir, California ($14/bottle) – $6.00

Wine Hooligans describes this Pinot Noir as showing “both bright red fruit while maintaining a delicate character. Aromas of rose hips and cherry proceed flavors of bright Rainier Cherry, cranberry, blood orange, and grains of paradise. Good acidity carries the layers of flavors well into the finish.”

Much like the non-alcoholic version, this cocktail tasted watered down. We were searching for the vodka taste and couldn’t find it.

While this drink is nice and refreshing, it’s not a standout.

  1. totally agree! the Impossible meatballs on polenta were the best thing I tasted at this year’s Food & wine festival. Disappointed it’s not at the Italy pavilion, but totally authentic Italian flavors!
