Traditional Macaroni & Cheese with Herbed Panko – $5.00

This is an outstanding basic macaroni and cheese. The cheddar is smooth and creamy, and the panko adds the perfect amount of crunch. What takes it to the next level is a small amount of spice that we believe may have been paprika. Even though this is the simplest dish on the menu, it was our favorite.

Cowboy Macaroni & Cheese with Smoked Pork Belly, Brisket Burnt Ends, Pickled Peppers, Onion Straws and Barbecue Aïoli – $6.25

A good upgrade to the traditional mac & cheese. The smoked pork belly and burnt ends were great complements, although the burnt ends were small and few and far between. But we’re not complaining, this is still a phenomenal dish! The peppers add a kick, and the crispy onion pieces add a nice crunch to it. We would definitely get this again.

*NEW* Chili-Cheese Macaroni & Cheese with Sour Cream and Cheddar Cheese – $5.50

This dish was disappointing. It tastes like they took dry pasta and topped it with chili and it was bland. We wanted more cheddar cheese in this dish and some more flavor and spice in the chili. Stirring the chili up with the macaroni helped even out the flavor a bit, but was still on the bland side and needed more. We would recommend ordering one of the other options at Mac & Eats if you’re looking for something creamy and cheesy to try.

81Bay Brewing Co. Lemon Hazy IPA, Tampa, FL (4.0% ABV) – $5.00 for 6 oz., $9.00 for 12 oz.

From correspondence with 81Bay Brewing Co.: “Our new Lemon Hazy Session IPA is light, delicious and packed with citrus flavor!”

No one in our party is a regular beer-drinker, but we really enjoyed this IPA. It matched the weight of the dishes. It was a consumer-friendly IPA; it wasn’t overly hoppy for someone who isn’t a huge fan. It also wasn’t too bitter. We would order the IPA again.

*NEW* Catena White Clay Sémillon-Chenin, Argentina ($23/bottle) – $8.00

Catena Zapata describes this wine as “deeply aromatic with expressive citrus and peach with a rich and mineral finish.”

Evolution by Sokol Blosser Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, OR ($20/bottle) – $6.00

From Sokol Blosser: “This wine is packed with bright red fruit flavors, heaps of jammyness, a dash of cherry pie, and a hint of toasty oak on the finish.”
