Refunds Being Issued for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Canceled Due to Hurricane Ian

With the closure of Walt Disney World’s theme parks through September 29 for Hurricane Ian, Thursday’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been officially cancelled.

Guests who purchased tickets for the hard-ticket event at the Magic Kingdom directly from Disney using a credit or debit card, or Disney Rewards Card will have refunds automatically processed to their payment method within seven business days. Guests who purchased tickets directly through Disney using another matter of payment, such as cash, are urged to contact Walt Disney World as soon as possible.

If guests have purchased their tickets through a third-party seller, like a travel agent or wholesaler, they should reach out to them for further information. Exchanging for a future date seems unlikely, as the event completely sold out earlier in the month.

  1. That’s a shame. They let me exchange my 9/10/17 Halloween party ticket for a 11/14/17 Christmas party ticket due to Hurricane Irma, and I didn’t have to pay the price difference.

I’m still a little pissed that they didn’t reimburse me for the two days of my 2017 new Platinum annual pass($797.69 for 366 days) that I was unable to use. Back then you were paying for the ability to visit every day of the year. It would have been only $4.36.

  2. What about regular Disney Park tickets purchased? Will there be refunds? We switched our tickets from today (wed) to Saturday but we’re charged 40 extra each ticket (27 total) will we be refunded that 40 since the park wax closed? Do you expect the park to be open Saturday?

  3. We were scheduled to go to magic kingdom yesterday the 28th. I know Disney posted a statement saying we would be able to use those tickets for a future trip before sept 30, 2023. Does anyone know if we can be refunded? I don’t think we will make it back by then.

  4. Meanwhile folks who had MNSSHP tickets for Friday are not getting refunds or any accommodation whatsoever due to the storm. Thanks Disney.
