We’ve been trying a lot of new fall and Halloween-themed snacks, and now we look at the pumpkin cold brew and Grave Stuff from Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland Park.
The Mickey Bat Cookie has also returned.
Pumpkin Cold Brew — $6.29
This is cold brew flavored with pumpkin, vanilla and spices, topped with whipped cream.
Cold brews served at Red Rose Taverne are almost exclusively great or terrible, with very little wiggle room in between. Luckily, this is one of the great ones. The dark roast coffee flavor still comes through, which is a big selling point. Nothing is worse than a coffee drink where you can’t taste the coffee, and this brings it through in a big way. The pumpkin spice and cream flavors are mild and sweet, but not overpowering.
This is a wonderful compliment to a meal at Red Rose Taverne or a great standalone pick me up for that midday crash after a long day of park hopping.
Grave Stuff — $6.49
This is “traditional Grey Stuff” topped with a chocolate tombstone and Halloween sprinkles.
This is the traditional Grey Stuff that we’ve come to know and love through many iterations and many seasonal overlays of roughly the same treat. The difference this time is the addition of the chocolate shortbread cookie for its base and the chocolate gravestone in front, along with the Halloween sprinkles.
The gravestone is just a piece of chocolate and the sprinkles don’t bring much flavor-wise, but are appealing to the eye. The chocolate shortbread cookie base, however, is a vast improvement over last year’s iteration. The Grey Stuff mousse, the red velvet cake and raspberry are still present as always, leading to a delicious and now time-honored treat that we find at every season of the year.
Mickey Bat Cookie – $5.99
Shortbread bat cookie dipped in dark chocolate with a Vampire Mickey face
The cookie was your standard shortbread cookie with chocolate frosting, nothing special, but the Mickey face makes it a cute seasonal offering! It’s also available at Jolly Holiday and Market House.
Will you stop to grab either of these on your next visit to Disneyland? Let us know in the comments!
