REVIEW: Connections Eatery in EPCOT Already Revamps Pizza with NEW Cornmeal Dusted Thin Crust

We tried every item at Connections Eatery in EPCOT back in April and were generally unimpressed with the pizza, but we learned the offering has been drastically changed to a cornmeal crust and needed to taste it!

Pepperoni Pizza — $10.99

Two slices of Freshly Baked Pizza topped with Pepperoni, San Marzana Tomato-Basil Sauce, and Cheese Blend

First, the portion size has changed to 2 slices, which is a big improvement. The crust was our favorite part; it has a cornmeal dusting at the bottom that makes it much more enjoyable since our first experience tasting it.

What we didn’t love is the pool of grease that comes with the pepperoni pizza. We were able to pick up some with a napkin to remove it, but it still dripped grease which wasn’t our favorite. Surprisingly, the grease didn’t make the crust soggy.

Overall we enjoyed the new pizza and we would try the cheese or meatball to try to avoid the grease-pool situation.

  1. I think consensus with the food is just gross with everyone your not alone for thinking that. And usually i love wdw food elertic umbrella was a great spot this not so much… i do not know how you could screw up basic food but they do here! Our lunch the other day was so gross we couldnt eat and i will not give details i do not want anyone else to gag… All i got was a sorry from the CM! I am not one to complain there and i wasnt looking for a handout like others would but all i got was a sorry it was rather rude. The food at the booths were better.
