The National Weather Service has issued a Hurricane Watch for Orange County, Florida, where both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort are located. A Hurricane Watch means that hurricane-force winds are possible in the next 48 hours.
The peak wind forecast is 55-65 mph with gusts up to 80 mph between Wednesday and Friday afternoon. There is the potential for winds between 74 and 110 mph.
The most recent projections put Orange County directly in the path of Hurricane Ian.
The Tropical Storm Warning and Flood Watch are still in effect as well.
