Walt Disney World Halting Resort Check-Ins for 48 Hours Amid Hurricane Ian

As Walt Disney World Resort prepares to buckle down for Hurricane Ian, guests on social media are sharing that Disney will not allow guests to check in for a 48 hour window starting tomorrow afternoon.

Twitter user @JLap64 shared a screenshot of an email from Walt Disney World notifying her that guests will not be allowed to check in at all on Thursday, September 29. We previously shared an update from Disney that all guests planning to check in on Wednesday, September 28 must do so by 3:00p.m.

Another guest with a stay scheduled replied with a screenshot saying check-ins would not be allowed prior to 3:00p.m. on Friday, September 30. This marks a 48-hour period where new guests will not be accepted on Walt Disney World property.

Disney is waiving all fees for cancellation or rescheduling plans as a result of Hurricane Ian. All four Walt Disney World theme parks will be closed on September 28 and September 29.
