Construction walls will be going up outside Avengers Headquarters in Marvel Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure soon for a new store.

The store has actually always been planned. The sliding glass doors on the front of Avengers Headquarters are supposed to be the entrance and there is space inside for the shop. It would have been the exit store for the Avengers E-ticket attraction, but as the attraction was delayed and canceled, so was the shop. Still, the space has always sat there with blacked-out windows.

Most Avengers Campus merchandise has only been available in the Super Store, while WEB Suppliers is the only true shop inside Avengers Campus. The Collector’s Warehouse is the Guardians of the Galaxy store. There’s also the small Campus Supply Pod, a merchandise kiosk outside. The new Avengers Headquarters store will provide much-needed shopping space.

An opening date for the store hasn’t been announced.

Avengers E-Ticket Ride

Over the years, we’ve caught glimpses of a potential Avengers attraction in concept art displayed at the Super Store Featuring Avengers Campus and at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel at Disneyland Paris. At the latter, concept art revealed guests flying on jetpacks, the ride vehicle, and fighting aliens alongside Captain Marvel, Thor, Black Panther, the Dora Milaje, Hulk, and more. This concept art was removed from display soon after it was installed.

This previously planned E-ticket thrill ride has been canceled, however. Bob Chapek announced at D23 Expo 2022 that they were instead developing a multiverse attraction featuring King Thanos. The new attraction will have a “brand-new story that will bring guests into battle alongside their favorite Super Heroes.” King Thanos is a version of Thanos who won, unlike in the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”

Avengers Campus

After delays due to COVID-19, Avengers Campus finally opened at Disney California Adventure in June 2021. Another version of the land opened in Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris in July 2022.

In California, Avengers Campus was constructed around Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!, a reskin of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror that opened in 2017. WEB Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure is at both versions of the land (known as Spider-Man WEB Adventure in Paris). Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, a retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, is unique to Walt Disney Studios Park.

“Rogers: The Musical” is coming to the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure as a short, one-act performance for a limited time this summer. The teaser video showed a woman dressed much like Peggy Carter heading into the Hyperion Theater with a playbill for “Rogers: The Musical.” The show was first seen in the Disney+ series “Hawkeye.”
