Disney has just released a sneak peek at some of the new merchandise and snacks that are coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for its 25th Anniversary.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary on April 22, which is also Earth Day. It was no coincidence that the park opened its doors 25 years ago on Earth Day — after all, its main message is all about conservation and taking care of the Earth and all of its inhabitants.
We recently got a sneak peek of a few things that are coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in time for its anniversary this April. From a sweet treat to some wild merchandise, here’s a look at some of the limited time celebratory items.
25th Anniversary Tree of Life Cupcake
Would it be a Disney celebration without a cupcake? This one is modeled after the Tree of Life, the icon of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The green frosting depicts the leaves, and the chocolate frosting below symbolizes the roots and branches of the structure. The white chocolate piece that sits atop the cupcake has the Tree of Life along with a “25” to symbolize the park’s 25th anniversary.
25th Anniversary Merchandise
We also caught a sneak peek of some of the new merchandise that will be arriving for the 25th anniversary. A new bucket hat and button up shirt will be debuting this April.
25th Anniversary Bucket Hat
The bucket hat also shares the same earthy color scheme. It appears to be a very muted blue and is decorated with green and blue leaves. The centerpiece is a deep teal and pale yellow emblem that features Disney’s Animal Kingdom logo along with a “25” in the middle. It also features some of the many animals that you can see at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, such as a rhino, an elephant, and a tiger.
25th Anniversary Button-Up Shirt
The button-up shirt is short sleeve. The color is pale yellow and white and features a tiger print pattern and “25” on the buttons.
On the left sleeve, there is a patch that features the Disney’s Animal Kingdom logo, along with another “25”. Just like the bucket hat, it also features a rhino, an elephant, and a tiger on the patch.
