Avocado Toast with Marinated Toy Box Tomatoes on Toasted Ciabatta – $6.00
The avocado toast is sure to be a popular option. It is LOADED with avocado, which rises more than an inch or so above the toast. The toast itself is quite nice, offering a nice exterior crunch with a softer interior. Like we said, it is topped with a heavy portion of creamy avocado, just not the most flavorful spread we’ve had on such a item. It’s not a memorable take on this dish, but many will likely enjoy it.
Shrimp and Grits – $7.25
Blackened Shrimp and Cheddar Cheese Grits with Brown Gravy and Sweet Corn Salsa
Four shrimp came in a boat filled with sauce, corn, and grits. There’s a nice lingering spice to the entire dish that isn’t overpowering. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. The only real complaint we have about this dish is that there weren’t enough grits to really enjoy the sauce. It’s really a simple thing that could change day to day based on who’s preparing the food. Regardless, it’s a tasty dish that’s well worth the price.
*NEW* Lox Benedict on Everything Focaccia with Everything-Spiced Cream Cheese, Shallots, Crispy Capers, and Hollandaise – $7.50
This is a light dish. For theme park lox, this isn’t bad.
The egg complements the rest of the dish.
The bread is hard to cut and a little dry, but the egg helps to moisten everything.
This is a great dish to start your EPCOT day.
Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites with Cream Cheese Frosting and Candied Bacon – $4.75
Absolutely phenomenal. It’s not advertised, but these are also cream-filled. The crispy, flakey, cinnamon covered exterior matched with rich cream and a hint of bacon makes for a glorious combination. These would be an item we would get every time we visit EPCOT if we could. It’s also a pretty solid serving size for the price.
Froot Loops® Shake – $4.75
We were excited to try this, but it was beyond even our expectations. The shake tastes like a bowl of Froot Loops, maybe one that has been sitting there for a bit, when the milk has absorbed some of the sugary, fruity flavors of the loops. The milky ice cream flavor mixed with this sweet, sugary tinge of Froot Loops makes for a shake you simply must get if you are going to this event. We also don’t recommend using a straw as it is nice to get the crunch of the actual Froot Loops with the burst of flavor from the shake.
*NEW* Peach Bellini – $11.00
This is a very champagne-forward drink.
A lot of the peach flavoring is at the bottom. We stirred it, and we found it was a bit sweeter with the peach mixed in.
It’s small but refreshing.
Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew Cocktail with Milk, Kahlúa Rum and Coffee Liqueur ($25/bottle), and Vanilla Vodka – $10.50
We love a good coffee cocktail, and this one is certainly very good. It tastes very akin to the often admired Tipsy Ducks in Love from the Joy of Tea kiosk back in China, but that isn’t a bad thing. With more alcohol and less creaminess in the flavor profile, this may be a rare coffee cocktail from a theme park that pleases many guests with different palates.
