Walt Disney World has shared more details about some of the exclusive Disney100 offerings coming to the parks and Disney Springs this year.
Disney100 Mickey & Minnie Meet and Greet
As previously announced, Mickey and Minnie will appear in their platinum Disney100 outfits for a meet and greet at EPCOT later this year. Disney said they will have more details about when and where guests can meet them “soon.”
Disney100 Spaceship Earth Spectacle of Light
Disney provided a first look at the new Disney100 Spectacle of Light show on Spaceship Earth, which will also debut later this year.
“The Show Lighting Team at Walt Disney Imagineering has been amazed at our guests’ reaction to the nightly shows on Spaceship Earth,” said Jason Read, show lighting designer principal for Walt Disney Imagineering. “We’ve helped celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World, EPCOT’s 40th and the park’s signature festivals. Now, we’re excited to have Spaceship Earth ring in the biggest celebration yet, the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company.”
“We’re also inspired by many things from the history of the company, its characters, theme parks and shows – even the Disney100 opening logo that plays before our feature films during this anniversary,” Read continued. “You may see homages to everything from the ‘Wonderful World of Disney’ television show opening to Mickey balloons that we sell on Main Street, U.S.A.”
Disney100 Character Caravan Visiting Walt Disney World Hotels
We previously spotted Donald, Goofy, and Pluto in their Disney100 outfits at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Disney confirmed that they will be visiting various Walt Disney World Resort hotels in the revamped Character Caravan.
Disney100 Food and Drinks
Beginning May 1, the Disney100 Petite Cake will be available for a limited time at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs. It consists of layers of vanilla chiffon, berry mousse, and berry compote, topped with a Disney100 Medallion macaron.
“The culinary team has the wonderful opportunity to use food for storytelling,” Chef Amanda told Disney Parks Blog. “We get to make special themed treats that bring guests into the story, letting them feel immersed in a tangible and very delicious way.”
“The inspiration of this cake pulls from the rich purple and platinum colors used for the Disney100 celebration,” Chef Amanda said. “The drapery on the sides of the cake represents the traditional bunting that adorns Main Street, U.S.A. for special occasions. And of course, Mickey Mouse is proudly represented on the front of the cake because as we all know: ‘It all started with a mouse.’”
Find Your Perfect Disney100 Memento
The Disney100 Cinderella Premium Bucket will be available at Magic Kingdom soon. This bucket was initially released at Disneyland Resort and features Cinderella looking out the window of a platinum version of her coach.
Disney 100 Years of Wonder
Walt Disney World announced monthly themes to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company over the next several months. April celebrates Earth Day, the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s conservation efforts.
In late 2023, a new nighttime spectacular will premiere at EPCOT to replace “Harmonious.” Journey of Water, CommuniCore Hall, World Celebration Garden, and Dreamers Point are all scheduled to open in late 2023 at EPCOT.
Mirabel will have a meet and greet at Magic Kingdom beginning “this fall” in the Fairytale Garden. She will be replacing Merida, and the area will be redesigned to look like the Casita Madrigal.

The 100 Years of Wonder celebration is in full swing at Disneyland Resort, where guests can enjoy “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland and “World of Color – ONE” at Disney California Adventure. The platinum Mickey sculpture at EPCOT will presumably be the same as the one at Disneyland, which had to be fixed because the Walt Disney quote on the base was incorrect. Disneyland also has a platinum Minnie statue.
