Last fall, Disney announced an expansion of Pizzeria Bella Notte in Fantasyland at Disneyland Paris, with the reveal of a new “Luca”-themed dining area. With the 31st Anniversary of Disneyland Paris passing this week, the new room finally opened, and we got a look inside!

Our look inside comes courtesy of DLPReport on Twitter, who shared photos from the newly-opened dining room. The walls are painted in the familiar yellow common on Italian buildings. This wall holds an ad for pasta painted on and aged, while different pizza paddles hang in the center. To the far right is a drawn map of Italy.

The other side celebrates the fishing heritage of Portorosso, with fishing and diving gear on the shelf atop.

The logo for Portorosso’s fishery hangs on the left, while the right has a lifebuoy ring with “Gina” atop, Portorosso below, and the obligatory “92” on the sides for the year Disneyland Paris opened.

Supplies for cooking, like olive oil and cloves of garlic, also dot the room.

Plates depicting Portorosso’s history of fishing and sea monsters also hang on the orange wall, with one plate depicting a smiling fish, one shaped like a fish, and one with a great sea monster octopus at the center.

Of course on one wall is a fresco featuring Luca with his head out of the water as he admires Portorosso from a distance at night. Below the neck, we see his sea monster form, while his head is depicted as human.

While dining at Pizzeria Bella Notte, guests can also pick up a new Luca shortbread cookie for 4€, which is about $4.42.

Bringing “Luca” to Disneyland Paris

“’Luca’ is a beautiful coming-of-age tale that reminds us of the beauty of acceptance, of one another but also from within. Discovering who we are can be a daunting challenge, but friendships can help us on that journey,” shared Tracy Eck, Art Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris – Design & Show Quality. “I’m really happy that we are able to bring elements from the story of ‘Luca’ here to Fantasyland.”

Since its opening in 1992, Fantasyland has been a vibrant homage to the European fairy tales and storytellers, a timeless place where the magic of animation meets the architectural styles and cultures of the countries they are inspired from. Pizzeria Bella Notte is no exception with its peaceful and romantic atmosphere which pays homage to various regions of Italy. This iconic restaurant features nods to the classic Disney stories “Lady and the Tramp” as well as “Fantasia” and will now be home to another classic that has charmed families around the world: Pixar’s “Luca.”

Taking place on the Italian Riviera, “Luca,” streaming on Disney+, tells the story of a young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta, and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface.

The new “Luca”-themed dining room is now open in Pizzeria Bella Notte in Fantasyland at Disneyland Paris. Will you stop in and dine here? Let us know in the comments below!
