Fantasmic!-Themed Peanut Butter Cookie Sandwich – $5.29
Pretzel Shortbread Cookie Sandwich with Strawberry Jam and Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge and a Fantasmic! Chocolate Piece.
A white chocolate piece sits atop the confection. It illustrates Sorcerer Mickey and the Maleficent dragon, as featured in the “Fantasmic!” show now open again in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
A thick “pretzel” cookie sits below the chocolate piece, adhered by a smear of strawberry jam and peanut butter chocolate fudge. Based on our tasting, we’re not really sure what makes this shortbread cookie anything like a pretzel, but it’s good.
The white chocolate piece on top is okay; it’s just a piece of white chocolate. It didn’t present any additional flavors or wow us in any way. The print of Mickey and Maleficent came off on our fingers, and it does stain, so beware of that. We personally took this piece off after the initial bite and did not eat it.
Alone, the pretzel shortbread cookie has a great flavor. It’s not overpowering at all. It has a light peanut butter flavor, and some peanut bits are spread throughout out the cookie. This gives it a nice crunch. It’s soft and baked well.
The strawberry jam and peanut butter fudge blend really well with the cookie. The strawberry jam has a nice consistency. It’s not too gummy or sticky.
The peanut butter chocolate fudge has a strong peanut butter chocolate flavor all on its own. It does pair nicely with the jam and the cookie.
If you like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, you’ll like this cookie. We would get this again. We actually preferred this over the Lunch Box Tarts at Woody’s Lunch Box.
Will you be tasting one of these peanut butter and jelly-inspired cookie sandwiches? Do you like it more or less than a Lunch Box Tart at Woody’s Lunch Box? Tell us all your thoughts in the comments below.
